Leading, Caring and Evolving the People You Serve
Leadership should be handled with care. Leaders must understand, the more power you have, the more careful and responsive you must be with those you have the privilege of leading, or serving. Creating caring organizations and communities is the result of thoughtful and connected leadership. It’s not hard to see why caring leaders often seem to instinctively nurture future caring leaders.
I believe every voice can contribute to the success of a goal by providing an avenue for each voice to enter the discussion. Leaders create that space. When we include an entire team’s voice in a process, we can increase the potential for successful sustainable outcomes.
About The Conference
The National Guild conference is the annual gathering of the nonprofit arts education community, providing learning, networking, and tools to ensure all people have opportunities to maximize their creative potential.
Featuring more than four dozen workshops, roundtables, plenary sessions, site visits, and social events—plus full-day preconference institutes—delegates develop new skills, share effective practices, build relationships with colleagues, and return home inspired with new ideas about how to advance their organization and better serve their community.
This year’s conference will focus on how arts education can serve as a source of hope, healing, and strength in challenging times.Held at the Westin St. Francis Hotel, San Francisco, CA.
